Apple Honey Walnut Brie: Date Added: 20 Jun 2013

2 tbsp butter
2 oz chopped walnuts
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of cloves
2 tbsp honey
1 granny smith apple (2 if large brie wheel)
1 wheel of brie

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350 F

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apple(s). Melt butter and sautee apples. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cloves. Remove from pan and set aside. Sautee walnuts in same pan, slowly add honey, allowing to melt and combine well.

Cut top rind off of cheese. Overlap apples on top of cheese in wreath pattern. Place in baker, top with honey-walnut mixture, and bake 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve with crusty baguette slices or crackers.
